Mumbai coastal road project
Deep under the city, work is on an ambitious infrastructure project that is set to change the face of the Mumbai coast — a 10-km stretch of the Coastal Road, which, with its undersea tunnel and road built on reclaimed land, is expected to help cut down on travel time in one of the most congested cities in the world. This project will be commissioned well before ICOH 2027.
The Mumbai Metro
Line 1 of Mumbai’s metro ( www.mumbaimetroone.com) opened in 2014, the first of a long-phase project
expected to finish by 2022. It connects 12 stations in the far northern suburbs to Ghatkopar Station in
the east, mostly well away from anywhere of interest to visitors save the growing nightlife hubs of
Andheri West and Versova, accessed by DN Nagar and Versova stations, respectively.
The Aqua Line (Line 3 - https://mmrcl.com/) is a rapid transit metro line of the Mumbai Metro in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The 33.5 km (20.82 mi) route in Mumbai Metro's first underground line with 27 stations, 26 of which are underground stations, and one is at-grade. It is the first metro line to be fully underground in Mumbai. The line runs from Cuffe Parade in the far-south of Mumbai to Aarey JVLR in the north-centre, and includes connections to other metro lines, monorail, suburban rail, inter-city rail, and Mumbai's International Airport.

Mumbai has 3 major train lines that run north and south and there is a brand-new metro line in the
northern suburbs as well as a limited monorail line in eastern Mumbai. An elaborate Metro Network is under
construction and will be commissioned by 2024.Tickets can be bought from ticket window of every
station.
